Scratches
You can always remove minor scratches on vintage leather by gently wiping the surface with a soft cloth. But the application of gel is much better, It renews the surface of the article, and also saturates the leather with natural oils.
If the leather gets wet
Gently wipe the leather surface with soft cotton tissue. Allow to dry naturally, away from sources of heat and direct sunlight. We recommend to generously spray the product with a moisture-repellent spray once a season.
If the leather gets dry
Use matte, colorless gel/wax with natural fats. These products nourish the leather, renew its appearance and enhance its color.
If the leather gets dirty
Remove the dirt with a damp cloth. Do not use wet tissues, solvents or chemical detergents,
Storage
If you don't plan to use the article for a long while, fill it with paper, put it in a dust cover, and then store in a dark, dry place, away from heat sources.
Leather features that should be considered when choosing an article
Reinforcing
In bags and backpacks, we use various types of reinforcing and duplicating elements, due to them the article will retain its shape for longer time. The points where there is no need to use duplicate elements may slightly change their shape over time, mainly stretch.
The leather becomes smoother
The genuine leather is very strong, because the fibers are very dense. As you use the article, the fibers gradually loosen and the skin becomes softer. This is especially noticeable at the corners of the article and in heavy loaded areas. At the same time, the strength of the article does not decrease: it will delight you for many years.
Digital printing
On the back (flesh) of a piece of leather, numbers may be printed indicating the piece dimensions. We use these parts not only out of a thrifty attitude to natural resources, but also because these tags remind us that the article you are holding in your hands has gone through numerous manual operations in order to become exactly the way you want it to be.
Color transfer
Friction between the leather article and the garment moves the pigments from one surface to another. That is, dark dyed leather can leave marks on light- colored clothing, and vice versa.
It is easy to remove the dye from clothes with the help of a regular wash, but it is not always easy for dyed skin to return to its original appearance.
